"How To Make It In America" is a brand spankin new HBO original series about a young , broke [as in poor] group of friends in NYC struggling to make their dreams come and find their bestfriend ,Wilfredo Gomez, a L.E.S skateboarder who went crazy. Its like Entourage but for the everyday person. They party and get crazy but at the end of the day they're all just trying their best to make something of what they were handed. The cast , Kid Cudi, Bryan Greenberg, and Victor Rasuk bring a divine sense of realism to the whole project. This show makes me wish I could act so I could be apart of it!
Tune In on HBO Sundays @ 10pm

Concrete Jungle
So I was born and mostly raised in New York City. From Harlem and Ive yet to come across another place where I feel 100% at home ! I see tourist on the regular taking advantage of the many things my city has to offer and I cant help but wonder why us "native New-Yorkers" don't do the same. Are we taking our hometown for granted ? I say Yes ! So I have pledged to put an end to the cycle. This spring and summer, I am going to see the sights and immerse myself in the many cultures of New York. Boy oh boy ! I'm so excited lol. Im definitely going to keep you guys posted !

gLee is like one of my new all time favorite shows now ! I became Hooked after my aunt/best friend and I watched an episode. Season one was SPECTACULAR ! It has fashion , music and drama. I've been anticipating the premiere of Season two for months now. So much that I think I'm in serious need of Glee Rehab. So tune in ! And if you don't then Ill just keep you posted !

I STRONGLY recommend this book to anyone who can read! Its an autobiography by humanitarian , Somaly Mam , titled " The Road of Lost Innocence " . It tells the story of her life which began in the Cambodian jungle. She also talks about the period in her life where she was forced into prostitution. It is a truly touching story and I definitely do admire her for her struggle and her continuous effort to save young sex slaves in countries all around the world.Solange

Miss Grace Coddington , the creative director for Vogue Magazine , is officially my new idol. After watching the documentary " A September Issue " which was filmed to take you through the experience of all the work editor Anna Wintour (the woman "The Devil Wears Prada" was based on) goes through to publish Vogue's most important issue. Despite the fact that Grace wasn't the main focus of the film , she was the one that stuck out the most to me. The only person who hadn't given up her sense of art or appreciation for her craft like all the other employees. Its her job to put together concepts , wardrobes and creative photo shoots. She also happens to be the Only creative director in the business who dresses the models herself. So ass you can see , She kinda inspired me lol ! I hope I can have a career that gives me the same joy that she gets from her work.

I used to think that everyone I knew was happy with their bodies, appearances, etc. Until I noticed my friends going on these fake diets A.k.A starving themselves in order to be happy and thin. It honestly bothers me. I look at them in a new light now. Wondering who it was that never told them that they were beautiful little flowers or just fine the way they are. And why not ? The most important thing for a female is confidence ! It can make or break her in the real world. And it strongly effects the way she allows herself to be treated.
